Low range
(Sub-contra octave, contra octave)
These jaw harps are well suited for both beginners and professionals (the exception is for low ultrabasses, as they have a very soft and heavy tongue, and it will be difficult for a beginner performers). The basses at the top of thier range have quite hard reeds (not very hard, comfortable reeds), which makes them similar to the Yakut khomuses in terms of reed balance, but their sound differs towards smoother and cleaner. Low bass has a medium-hard tongue and a moderate harmonious sound, similar to song of cicadas.
Ultrabass munnharpe
These jaw harps are demanding on hitting accuracy as they have a very soft tongue (the inflection point is located at the base of the reed). Low ultrabasses have a sound that looks more like a tactile effect, the upper harmonics are perceived discretely, as rapidly repeating clicks. The base tone is practically inaudible, and a jaw harp does not seem loud, its sound resembles either the purr of a cat or the crunch of snow on frost, or the chatter of some unknown insect.

Bass jaw harps
These jew's harps are suitable for players of all skill levels. They are based on the Japanese jaw harps of the 5th century, and have a thick rigid frame, comfortable for the hand, and a moderately hard tongue, which is quite stable and not very demanding on hitting accuracy. The jaw harps in the upper part of the range (from E2 to C2) have a double-sided reed, which makes the sound smoother and more melodic. Jew's harps in the lower range (from B1 and below) have a one-sided sharpening of the reed, which gives the sound "fat", fullness, and sharpness. The lowest jaw harps have a characteristic chirring.

Munharpes are instruments made in the Norwegian style are great for melodic playing. These instruments are created for professionals, music performers within the framework, first of all, of the Norwegian playing tradition. Also they suit for all other coutries traditions, where performance is based on the ability to select overtones from the instrument and put them together into a composition.
Melodic munnharpe
I make munnharps in a specific T-shape of a Telemark style. This form helps me to get a clear sound (my method of tuning the jaw harps is based on straightening the body, and it is convenient to work with this shape). This shape of the harp body has been known at least since the 14th century and is still used by some craftsmens in Norway and Ukraine. The tongue is slightly above average hardness, fixed in the body with a wedge, which makes it easier for the master (in case it needs) to replace the tongue. In addition, this arrangement allows the player to harmoniously distribute the weight of the inrtrument, which affects the convenience of the game.

This jaw harp is a replica of the medieval jaw harps found on the territory of Veliky Novgorod, (Russia), and dated by 14th century. These jaw harps are well suited for melodic playing.

Polished munnharpe
The difference of this munnharpe feom the usual is that traces of forging are removed on the body, and the shape is brought to symmetry, the surface is smooth. All these changes do not affect on a sound of the munnherpe, only aesthetics.

Each hard-winged jew's harp is individual and handmade. The simple-type jew's harp available can be made with a pattern on the surface, with a pattern on the tongue mount, and without it.

"Elk"
The rune in the middle is Algiz, the name of the rune comes from the word "Elch" - "elk", its main meaning is protection.
The pattern is placed on a brass plate. The texture and the rune are made by hand engraving. The body is forged. Tuned to the note E of the conctave (E1).
About the beetle harps (Coleopterous harps)
These harpes are named so because of their smooth shiny surface which is associated with a solid elytras of the beetles. The first jaw's-harps of this type were a series named "Cicadas" - instruments of simple shape that were carved out on the automatic machine, colored in saturated blue or metallic. "Cicadas" had a characteristic overtone of chirping thanks to which they gained their name.
